QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Drawing parallels with the end of the Roman empire, Mr. Walker warned there were 'striking similarities' between America's current situation and the factors that brought down Rome, including 'declining moral values and political civility at home, an overconfident and overextended military in foreign lands, and fiscal irresponsibility by the central government.' I saw that piece. This guy is pretty nonpartisan, so people should pay attention. Pretty amazing how much damage one unqualified screwup in the White House can do, encouraged by Machiavellian handlers like Karl Rove. Sad time for the country, and BushCheney is still not done making things worse, more chaos, misguided strategies. I always thought Bush was like one of those mad Roman emperors totally cut off from reality and unwilling to listen to a dissenting voice. This report shows the consequences of giving so much power to that kind of individual.
